  • Q: What do I do if I have a complaint against Legal Aid?

    A: First try and resolve the issue by speaking to the attorney who handled your case. If you are unsuccessful then please write a letter to the Executive Director, drop it off, or fax it to the main office at:

    The Executive Director will review and investigate the complaint and respond within ten days.

    Q: And what if I am still not satisfied with how the Executive Director handled my complaint?

    A: You may then ask for a hearing before the Grievance Committee of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid by making a written request within sixty days of receiving a response from the Executive Director by writing directly to:

    1. WE ARE HELPING YOU WITH THE PROBLEM YOU TALKED TO US ABOUT.
    1. WE MUST LET YOU KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING ON YOUR CASE. 
    1. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT WE DO.
